Permit Minder republishes public discharge monitoring data. If you believe any data displayed on this site is inaccurate, you can request a correction using the process below.
How to request a correction
Email hello@permitminder.com with the subject line “Data Correction Request” and include:
- Permit number
- Parameter name
- Monitoring period
- The value you believe is incorrect
- The correct value with supporting documentation (e.g., an amended DMR or a confirmation letter from the reporting agency)
What happens next
- We aim to acknowledge your request within 3 business days
- We endeavor to complete a review against the source data within 10 business days
- If confirmed inaccurate: we aim to correct or flag the data within 5 business days of confirmation
- If source data supports the displayed value: response explaining the finding with a link to the source record
Response times may vary based on volume.
Source of truth
Permit Minder republishes public discharge monitoring records and is not the system of record. If a displayed value is incorrect at the source, the facility should correct it in the reporting system where the record was submitted, and Permit Minder will reflect the update on the next data refresh. Each record on the site links back to the system it was collected from; see our Methodology page for per-state source details.
